St. Louis Communities

South St. Louis County Real Estate and Living

Characterized by rolling countryside, this part of the county is still largely unincorporated and has experienced steady, moderate growth. You'll find attractive ranch, split-level and two-story homes in a geographic area that includes Crestwood, Sunset Hills, Affton, Mehlville, Oakville and Fenton.

Crestwood Real Estate

Conveniently located within an easy commute of downtown and Lambert St. Louis International Airport, Crestwood is a thriving community comprised of mature suburban neighborhoods and newly constructed subdivisions. The Sappington House Historic Site, the home of one of the area's original settlers, is an exceptional example of the 19th century architecture. In addition, there are seven parks and an aquatic center available for the enjoyment of Crestwood residents.

Sunset Hills Real Estate

With the Meramec River forming its western boundary and it namesake rolling hills, Sunset Hills is indeed a picturesque community to call home. It is located in the southwestern area of St. Louis county, close to Highways 44 and 270, which provides great accessibility to downtown or other suburban venues. The homes range from elegantly historic to contemporary and are all complemented by the lovely landscape and serene atmosphere.

Affton Real Estate

Just south of the city limits Affton is a great place to live, dine, work, and play. Visit the Oakland House and Grant's Farm or ride your bike on the trail that runs past Grant's Farm. The neighborhoods have small bungalows for first time home buyers to ranch homes all within easy distance shopping.

Mehlville and Oakville Real Estate

These two communities are part of unincorporated St. Louis County located in the southwest quadrant of that county. Situated on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, it is an area experiencing a great deal of growth in recent years. Mehlville and Oakville offer a variety of shopping and dining experiences as well as other family-oriented diversions.

Fenton Real Estate

Fenton is known as the "City of Parks" and with over 340 acres of parkland including bike and pedestrian trails, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, soccer fields, playgrounds and fishing ponds, it is easy to see why this is so. Fenton's park-like setting complements the city's homes, the majority of which are new, having been built within the last decade. The city also has plans for a redevelopment of Olde Towne, their commercial center, to bring improvements and revitalization to the area.
